Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov criticized European democracy, referring to Romania, Moldova and France. He suggested that leaders open to dialogue with Russia are being marginalized: "In Romania, a candidate wins a presidential election, but if he is willing to talk to Russia, he must necessarily be perceived as unfit, and eventually he is ousted."
