Pete Hegseth, the head of the Pentagon, stated that the United States is fully aware of the actions of China and Russia in support of Iran and that it counters these efforts wherever necessary.
In a press briefing, Hegseth emphasized that the coming days in the Middle East conflict will be decisive. He stated that American intelligence suggests that U.S. strikes are affecting the morale of the Iranian army, causing desertions and frustration among the leaders. He also mentioned that Iran has fewer and fewer military options.
"We have more and more options, and they have fewer and fewer... in just a month we set the terms, and the coming days will be decisive. Iran knows this and can hardly do anything militarily in this regard" said Hegseth.
In previous comments, President Donald Trump acknowledged that Russia could help Iran, but downplayed the significance of this assistance, suggesting that the U.S. also provides support to Ukraine.
