The heatwave has killed hundreds of thousands of fish in a reservoir in Dong Nai province. Countries in the region, such as Bangladesh, Burma, Thailand, Cambodia, the Philippines and India, have also been affected by high temperatures and heatstroke, with some recording heat-related deaths.
