The Secretary-General of the OECD, Mathias Cormann, stated that investments in artificial intelligence (AI) will continue to grow, bringing long-term benefits for productivity. The OECD has upgraded economic forecasts for several countries, including the USA, emphasizing that spending on technology helps in the context of trade uncertainties.

However, Cormann warned that the pace of global economic growth will slow to 2.9% next year, compared to 3.2% in 2025, due to trade risks and other structural pressures. The OECD, an intergovernmental organization with 38 members, continues to collaborate with Romania in the accession process.
