An aide to the South Korean president has been the victim of a cyber attack by North Korean hackers.

This is the first time North Korea has successfully infiltrated the digital data of a member of the South Korean president's team. The security breach occurred in the run-up to President Yoon Suk Yeol's state visit to the UK last November. The adviser's inbox was hacked after he used a personal email account for work.
