North Korea has supplied Russia with 28,000 containers of weapons, including 12 million 152mm howitzers, and has sent some 13,000 troops to support Russian military efforts in Ukraine. Pyongyang's participation has brought significant revenues to the North Korean economy, estimated at more than 20 billion dollars, most of it from munitions supplies. North Korea has also begun construction of a military power plant to support Russia and Kim Jong-un has stepped up munitions production.
