North Korea on Tuesday opened a new spa resort at Wonsan Kalma, a complex that can accommodate about 20,000 tourists. The inauguration was marked by the presence of Kim Jong Un, along with his wife Ri Sol Ju, who appeared in public for the first time since 2021. Although the resort will be open to local tourists from July 1, foreign tourists are still banned from entering and previous links with Japan have been suspended since 2006.
