Newsmax accuses Fox News of using its dominant position to pressure distributors not to carry or to marginalize other conservative channels, imposing financial penalties. The lawsuit, filed in a federal court in Florida, claims that Fox includes clauses in contracts that block the growth of rivals, which constitutes an illegal restriction of competition. Newsmax seeks a permanent injunction against these practices and triple damages for the harm suffered.
