<p>The violence in the Kourram district of northwest Pakistan has left 82 people dead and 156 injured. Clashes between Sunnis and Shiites have led to mutual attacks, shop and house burnings, and the mobile phone network has been disrupted. Security forces are finding it difficult to impose their rule in the area.
