A New Jersey couple has been arrested for kidnapping and sexually abusing the woman's biological daughter for seven years, forcing her to live in a dog cage

Brenda Spencer, the 18-year-old girl's mother, and Branndon Mosley, her stepfather, have been charged with kidnapping, false imprisonment and assault. The victim was held captive, bound and isolated and only released during family visits. The girl managed to escape on May 8, and police intervened two days later, arresting the two men. The case is reminiscent of the kidnapping of Natascha Kampusch, who had a similar experience in Austria.
