In a government meeting, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that Israel is "in solidarity with the struggle of the Iranian people" for freedom and justice, emphasizing that it could be a decisive moment for Iranians to take their destiny into their own hands. This is his first statement since the protests in Iran began on December 28. Netanyahu recently discussed Iran with American President Donald Trump, reaffirming their common position to keep uranium enrichment in Iran at zero and demanding the withdrawal of 400 kg of enriched uranium, as well as strict oversight of nuclear facilities. He also expressed the Israeli government's support for the U.S. operation in Venezuela.
