In a press statement, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that there are increasing indications that Iran's spiritual leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, may have been killed in the wake of coordinated airstrikes by the U.S. and Israel. These precision strikes, which targeted Khamenei's palace in Tehran, have been confirmed by satellite images.
Although Iranian authorities have denied reports of Khamenei's death, no evidence has been presented that he is alive. Netanyahu emphasized that the potential elimination of Khamenei could weaken the autocratic regime in Tehran and reiterated Israel's commitment to continue military operations in Iran, stressing that a regime that has killed thousands of protesters should not possess nuclear weapons. He thanked the Iranian people for their courage in the face of the oppressive regime.
