The Ukrainian oil and gas company Naftogaz, led by Sergii Koretskyi, is seeking funds from the USA for the restoration of its facilities affected by Russian attacks, which have caused damages estimated at least 3 billion euros. Koretskyi emphasized that the equipment needs exceed 900 million euros and mentioned discussions with Exim Bank of the USA and the US International Development Finance Corp. for assistance. He also highlighted the importance of European funds and mentioned that there are approximately 250 million dollars unspent at the US State Department, which could be used for the purchase of American equipment. Naftogaz, responsible for the distribution of natural gas to 12.5 million households, is facing ongoing challenges due to Russian attacks and is preparing for the winter season, considering that these attacks will continue. Koretskyi stressed the need for long-term investments to replace destroyed energy units and improve the efficiency of equipment.
