The Polish authorities found a drone that had crashed in a field near the town of Bartoszyce, close to the border with the Russian exclave of Kaliningrad.
The Polish military police announced on Facebook that the initial investigation suggests that the drone is of a military nature, deployed for surveillance purposes, and was not prepared for combat. The report about the unidentified flying object was received in the morning of that day, and the investigation is supervised by state prosecutors.
According to information from the private radio station RMF, the drone had inscriptions in Cyrillic letters, which could indicate a Russian or Ukrainian origin. It is also mentioned that the drone was equipped with several cameras, although this information has not been officially confirmed by the police. The Polish public television channel TVP Info specified that the drone was found in the village of Osieka, located south of Bartoszyce.
