The National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) reported that the cities of Abdanan and Malekshahi have been practically taken over by protesters, who are celebrating in the streets and shouting against Khamenei's regime. Protests have spread across the country, with demonstrations and strikes in dozens of cities, fueled by economic hardships and dissatisfaction with the government. Security forces have been accused of attacks on hospitals where injured protesters sought care, which has sparked international backlash. Amnesty International condemned these actions, considering them a violation of international law.

The death toll has risen, with at least 36 people reported dead, and authorities have arrested over 2,000 protesters. Despite the repression, protests continue to spread, including in cities considered loyal to the regime. Iranian leaders have warned that they will take firm measures against those inciting riots, and violence against protesters could have serious consequences, according to some U.S. officials. This situation reflects a deep crisis in Iranian society, where citizens feel they have reached a breaking point.
