Protests erupted in Ukraine, in cities such as Kiev and Lviv, after President Zelenski approved a law affecting anti-corruption agencies. Protesters, including veterans and activists, challenge the limitations imposed on them, demanding an honest government. The law gives the prosecutor-general powers over the National Anti-Corruption Bureau, and criticism has also come from the European Commission. Protesters point out that such decisions demotivate efforts to defend against Russian aggression.
