After a 140,000-strong demonstration in Belgrade, thousands of protesters blockaded the streets demanding early elections in the wake of the tragedy in Novi Sad, which left 16 people dead. The anti-corruption movement mobilized protests in several cities and the authorities responded with arrests and violence.
