Masayoshi Son, the founder of SoftBank Group, is considering a significant investment in France for the development of a data center dedicated to artificial intelligence, according to Bloomberg sources. This initiative, proposed by President Emmanuel Macron, could involve an amount of up to 100 billion dollars, although the final figure will depend on other SoftBank projects. The official announcement could be made during the annual 'Choose France' summit aimed at attracting foreign investments. Additionally, SoftBank recently announced a similar project in Ohio, with an estimated investment of 500 billion dollars. In the context where technology companies are significantly increasing investments in AI infrastructure, Macron is promoting France as an attractive destination due to its energy network and nuclear power production. Son's ambitions reflect fierce competition in the AI field, as companies seek to enhance and expand their processing capabilities.
