Emmanuel Macron, the President of France, announced the intention to include European partners in the resumption of dialogue with Vladimir Putin, nearly four years after Russia's invasion of Ukraine. After a recent technical meeting in Moscow, Macron stated that he has rebuilt the channels of discussion but confirmed that Russia does not want peace at this moment. He emphasized the importance of an organized European approach and mentioned that dialogue with Putin should be clear and without too many interlocutors.

The Kremlin welcomed this initiative, expressing its openness to new discussions. Macron insisted on the necessity of not depending on third parties in negotiations with Russia, considering that it will remain an important actor on the international stage.
