Emmanuel Macron will pay an official visit to Norway, the first by a French leader since 1984, to strengthen defense and security cooperation. The two countries will sign an agreement that will structure collaboration in areas such as innovation, energy transition and advanced technologies. The visit underlines France's commitment to the Nordic region and will reaffirm the European position in the context of the conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East, ahead of its participation in the NATO summit.
