French President Emmanuel Macron is considering organizing a private dinner with American President Donald Trump at the Palace of Versailles, with the aim of convincing him to attend the G7 Summit at the end of this month. This dinner would coincide with the summit and would be an intimate event, taking into account Trump's preferences for opulence. Macron wants to ensure Trump's involvement in European issues, such as the war in Ukraine and the conflict in Iran. Although Trump has promised to come to France, French officials remain cautious, given his unpredictability.

Macron has moved the date of the summit to fit Trump's schedule, and the dinner could take place on June 17, the last day of the summit. In the past, Macron has managed to avoid diplomatic crises with Trump, but there are doubts about the effectiveness of his approach. The summit could provide an opportunity to re-engage Trump, but organizers are aware that the situation is unstable and unexpected conflicts may arise.
