During a visit to China, Macron rejected information from the German magazine Spiegel, which suggested that he and the German Chancellor had expressed skepticism about American efforts to negotiate peace between Ukraine and Russia. Macron stated that there is no distrust, and collaboration with the United States is necessary to ensure lasting peace, adding that the joint efforts of Europeans and allies are crucial. He also mentioned that several European leaders have expressed concerns about a possible betrayal of Ukraine by the U.S. in the peace negotiations.
