Lebanon will request a one-month extension of the ceasefire and compliance with the cessation of hostilities, while Israel is asking for cooperation to eliminate Hezbollah.

An official source declared to AFP that Lebanon will request an extension of the ceasefire for a period of one month, as well as strict adherence to the ceasefire, while simultaneously demanding that Israel stop its demolition and destruction operations in the affected areas.

The Israeli Foreign Minister, Gideon Saar, has urged the Beirut Government to cooperate in the removal of the Hezbollah group, which Israel considers responsible for building a 'terrorist state' on Lebanese territory. Direct discussions between Israel and Lebanon will resume in Washington D.C., and Saar has called on Lebanese authorities to collaborate against Hezbollah's influence.
