The Israeli army declared a 'combat zone' throughout the Lebanese territory located south of the Zahrani River, urging residents to evacuate before new attacks against Hezbollah.
This escalation comes in the context of intensified ground and air operations in southern Lebanon, where Hezbollah has reported direct fighting. Despite the theoretical ceasefire of April 17, both sides accuse each other of violations. Israel has called for the evacuation of residents from the city of Tyre and other threatened areas, warning that it will act forcefully against Hezbollah. In recent days, Israeli attacks have targeted Hezbollah's infrastructure, causing significant losses.
A military meeting between Israel and Lebanon is also expected at the Pentagon, in the perspective of negotiations under American auspices.
Since the beginning of the conflict, Israeli attacks have resulted in the deaths of over 3,269 people in Lebanon.
