Russia's chief diplomat Sergei Lavrov has said that the recent agreement between the US and the EU, which foresees a 15% tax on European products, will have a negative impact on European industry, leading to deindustrialization and migration of investment to the US. Lavrov emphasized that US energy resources will be more expensive than Russian ones, affecting energy prices and the agricultural sector in Europe. Europeans also hope the deal will prevent a trade war, given fears of possible US tariffs of 30%.
