Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has arrived in China for a two-day visit. Russia and China will discuss the crisis in the Middle East and strategic coordination.

The Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov, arrived in China on Tuesday for a two-day visit, during which the two powers will discuss coordination on current international issues, especially in the context of the crisis in the Middle East. This visit comes at a time of intense diplomatic activity, considering that both China and Russia are partners of Iran and rivals of the United States.

Lavrov previously had phone discussions with his Iranian counterpart, Abbas Araghchi. On the same day, China is hosting foreign leaders, including the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and the Spanish Prime Minister, all concerned about the events in the Middle East. Chinese Premier Li Qiang emphasized China's commitment to contributing to the restoration of peace in the region.

Lavrov and his Chinese counterpart, Wang Yi, are also expected to coordinate positions on bilateral relations and international issues of common interest, thus continuing to deepen the relations between the two countries.
