At a conference in Helsinki, Lagarde mentioned that the impact of tariffs on the eurozone economy was mitigated by the appreciation of the euro and a trade agreement with the US, which capped tariffs at 15%. Additionally, the stimulus measures adopted by European governments helped limit the negative effects on inflation and economic growth, allowing the ECB to keep interest rates unchanged. The next monetary policy meeting is scheduled for October 30.
