Russia has said it is ready for a third round of peace talks with Ukraine, although the exact date has not been set. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov emphasized that much diplomatic work would be needed to bring the positions of the two sides, which have diametrically opposed views, closer together. Ukrainian President Zelenski has proposed a meeting this week, including prisoner exchanges, to promote a lasting peace.
