Kiev recorded 13 air alerts on Thursday, the highest number of alerts in a single day since the beginning of the large-scale Russian invasion in February 2022. The alerts lasted nearly 15 hours, with a total of 872 minutes of alert, according to the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Russian attack involved drones, ballistic missiles, and cruise missiles, causing injuries to at least four people. Explosions continued even after midnight, and authorities reported damage to two schools and damage to a residential building. The ministry emphasized that Russia is using repeated drone launches to keep the city under threat, thus disrupting daily life.

President Zelensky stated that Ukraine is facing a shortage of essential interceptor missiles for air defense, urging allies to accelerate deliveries.
