The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer, stated on Saturday that he could take tougher measures against pro-Palestinian movements, in the context of increasing antisemitic incidents in Great Britain. Starmer emphasized that, while he supports the right to protest, certain marches could be banned if they include chants considered problematic, such as "globalize intifada." These statements come after a recent incident in which two people of Jewish descent were stabbed, and the attack was classified as terrorist.
The terrorist alert level has been raised to 'severe', and the head of the Metropolitan Police warned that the Jewish community has become a target for various extremist groups. Starmer acknowledged the cumulative effect of the marches and promised that the government will act to address these issues.
