JPMorganChase will open the digital bank Chase in Germany, marking its second European expansion after the United Kingdom. Although Germany has a fragmented and competitive banking landscape, JPMorgan believes that the digital era offers new opportunities. The bank will be headquartered in Berlin and will start with savings accounts, planning to expand its offerings. Jamie Dimon, the CEO of JPMorgan, acknowledged the previous challenges of banks in foreign markets but is optimistic about the digital future.
