The former First Lady of the USA, Jill Biden, admitted that Joe Biden's performance in the 2024 presidential debate against Donald Trump was so concerning that it scared her to death, fearing that her husband might suffer a stroke.
In an interview with CBS News, Jill confessed that she had not seen Joe in that state before, adding that it was a shocking experience for her.
Biden's performance, at the age of 81, was marked by difficulties in expression and confusion, which undermined his chances for a second term. Although the campaign team tried to present the debate as an anomaly, Biden later acknowledged that he is not as energetic as he used to be. Shortly after the debate, Biden withdrew from the presidential race, endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris.
The interview comes in the context of promoting her memoir, "View from the East Wing." Jill Biden also highlighted her husband's daily efforts at the White House.
