American Vice President JD Vance stated that he expects to leave for Switzerland in the coming days for negotiations between the USA and Iran, aimed at finalizing a peace agreement, following a memorandum of understanding recently signed for a ceasefire.
Vance emphasized the complexity of diplomatic protocols, acknowledging that he is not familiar with them, but is committed to actively participating in resolving issues. Although he was initially supposed to be in Switzerland on Friday, his departure was postponed due to delays in the US-Iran negotiations. The Iranian Foreign Ministry announced that technical discussions will take place on Sunday, with the participation of representatives from Pakistan and Qatar, mediators in the negotiations. Additionally, Iran announced the closure of the Strait of Hormuz in response to Israeli attacks, a decision that could influence the course of the negotiations.
