The Italian Minister of Defense, Guido Crosetto, stated that Ukraine no longer has any real chance of recapturing Crimea and the other territories lost to Russia since 2022.

In an interview for his new book, Crosetto emphasized that recovering the territories lost in 2014 and after February 2022 is considered impossible.

He stated that Russia will never give up these regions, and Ukraine does not have the necessary strength to regain them, even with international support.

Crosetto mentioned the influence of Russian propaganda in Italy, highlighting that many Italians are affected by disinformation.

Additionally, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has requested financial support from Europe for the next two to three years, mentioning that an agreement of the "land for peace" type could be considered, although ceding control over 20% of Ukraine is unacceptable.
