Over 300 farmers' tractors gathered at the gates of the capital. They demanded a meeting with Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni to present their demands, which include overhauling environmental rules and lowering taxes. Ursula von der Leyen last week withdrew a draft law to curb the use of pesticides.
