Last night, Israeli attacks in Gaza Strip resulted in the death of at least eight people, according to Civil Defense officials, despite the announcement of a ceasefire agreement between Israel and the Islamist movement Hamas. The agreement, announced by the U.S. president, stipulates the cessation of military operations and the gradual withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza. Although Hamas confirmed the understanding, Israel has not provided an official response.
The attacks targeted residential buildings, including an apartment in Deir al-Balah, and resulted in several injuries. Additionally, an attack on a medical warehouse caused significant damage. The Ministry of Health in Gaza reported 152 deaths in July, the highest monthly number this year. Hamas members and citizens of Gaza are calling for a real ceasefire, while the Israeli army continues to assert that its actions are justified. Since the beginning of the conflict, over 1,222 Palestinians have been killed, according to official data.
