On Tuesday morning, Israeli tanks fired on a crowd in Khan Younis, Gaza, waiting for food aid, resulting in 59 dead and 221 wounded. The incident is one of the bloodiest since the partial resumption of humanitarian aid. The Israeli army confirmed the shooting, saying it was a gathering near an aid truck. Almost 55,000 Palestinians have been killed since the conflict began in October 2023, causing a severe humanitarian crisis.
