Israel intensifies military operations in Lebanon: "We will not stop until the threat is removed from the border"

Israel has announced the intensification of operations against the terrorist organization Hezbollah, according to statements from military officials, including General Eyal Zamir. He emphasized that the operation is long-term and that Israel is prepared to further intensify ground attacks aimed at ensuring the security of residents in the northern part of the country. Brigadier General Effie Defrin added that in the coming week, Israel will strengthen control in the central area and expand maneuvers to prevent direct fire on Israeli communities.

These statements come in the context of Hezbollah reopening a front against Israel in response to the assassination of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, following the American-Israeli offensive against Iran. In recent days, Israel has intensified airstrikes in southern Lebanon, targeting Hezbollah infrastructure, and Lebanese President Joseph Aoun described these actions as a prelude to a possible ground invasion.
