One of the most popular prayer applications in Iran, BadeSaba Calendar, has been compromised, and the access obtained was used to send messages urging military personnel to lay down their arms and join the fight against the regime in Tehran.
The messages, sent rapidly for half an hour, included an initial message stating "Help has arrived" and promised amnesty to those who joined the fight against the repressive forces.
Experts believe that this hack was planned ahead of the airstrikes by Israel and the United States, and although it has not been officially confirmed, it is believed that the operation is attributed to the Israeli army.
The BadeSaba application is used to provide notifications related to prayer times, relying on the most commonly used calendars.
