At the meeting of the foreign ministers of the European Union in Luxembourg, Simon Harris, the foreign minister of Ireland, stated that the reopening of the Rafah crossing must be an absolute priority to allow humanitarian aid to enter Gaza. Harris emphasized the importance of respecting the ceasefire and highlighted the difficulties encountered in achieving this goal. He called for a significant increase in the volume of aid entering Gaza, in the context of international discussions regarding the maintenance of the ceasefire and the facilitation of humanitarian assistance for the population affected by the conflict between Israel and Hamas.
