A ballistic missile detected as being launched from Iran and directed towards Turkey has been neutralized by NATO air defense systems deployed in the eastern Mediterranean, according to the Turkish Ministry of National Defense. The missile was intercepted in time, and the debris fell in Hatay province, without causing casualties. The ministry emphasized its commitment to protecting Turkey's territory and airspace and called for avoiding escalation of conflicts in the region.

At the same time, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan criticized Iranian attacks on Gulf countries, considering them a misguided and dangerous strategy. He emphasized that the conflict is spreading throughout the region and expressed concern that the attacks could lead to an escalation of violence. Fidan mentioned that the priorities of Israel and the U.S. will influence the duration of the war and highlighted the importance of negotiations to stop the conflict.
