Iran issued a clear warning to Bulgaria, a NATO member, on Monday, urging it not to allow its territory to be used for military actions against the Islamic Republic.
The spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Esmaeil Baghaei, stated that any support for the military aggression of the United States and Israel will be considered an act of aggression under international law. Iran reserves the right to strike the source of any attack.
Baghaei mentioned that refueling planes had left Bulgaria, an action he described as contrary to international law. The warning comes after the Bulgarian parliamentary defense committee approved the temporary deployment of American refueling planes at Bezmer Air Base, which provoked severe reactions from Iran.
