Iran has declared that it is ready to cooperate with the International Maritime Organization to enhance navigation safety in the Gulf, according to its representative at the UN maritime agency, Ali Mousavi.

He emphasized that the Strait of Hormuz remains open to all ships, except those associated with "the enemies of Iran," and highlighted the importance of coordinating security measures with Tehran.

Mousavi stated that diplomacy is a priority, but mentioned that mutual trust is essential, in the context of Israeli and American attacks on Iran. At the same time, Donald Trump threatened Iran with the destruction of power plants if it does not reopen the Strait of Hormuz within 48 hours. The Iranian army responded that it will target energy infrastructures in the region if Trump's threats materialize.
