Three men, Idris Ali, Azad Shojai and Rasoul Ahmad, were hanged in Iran on charges of spying for Israel. They were arrested for trying to import assassination equipment into the country. The executions took place in the city of Ourmia, a day after a fragile ceasefire between Iran and Israel went into effect. Iran frequently announces arrests and executions of suspected spies, especially amid tensions with Israel.
