Iran has communicated to regional intermediaries that, in order to sign a ceasefire agreement, the US must provide guarantees that neither the US nor Israel will launch attacks against it in the future.

Officials quoted by Bloomberg emphasize that Iran is particularly concerned about possible Israeli attacks after the current conflict ends. It is unclear whether the US is willing to provide such a guarantee and whether it could request the same from Israel.

The Iranian president, Masoud Pezeshkian, stated that the solution for ending the war consists of recognizing Iran's rights, paying reparations, and providing international guarantees against future aggressions. In contrast, the Trump administration stated that President Donald Trump will decide the timing of the conflict's end, demanding the unconditional surrender of Tehran.
