New Delhi has decided to suspend plans to purchase US arms in response to President Trump's 25% tariffs on Indian goods. This is in response to dissatisfaction over the perception that India is funding Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Although Indian officials have canceled a trip by the defense minister to Washington, the government has said that talks are continuing and that procurement could resume once the tariff situation is clarified.
