A 19-year-old IDF soldier was killed, and six other soldiers were injured following a drone attack launched by Hezbollah in Lebanon. Separately, Hezbollah sent three drones towards Israel, which were intercepted by the Israeli air forces before crossing the border. The two countries are under a precarious ceasefire, active since April 16, recently extended by three weeks. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that the IDF is operating forcefully in Lebanon, accusing Hezbollah of violating the ceasefire. Netanyahu emphasized that Israel has the right to defend itself against immediate threats. On the same day, the IDF struck Hezbollah military structures, and Netanyahu ordered additional attacks on the group's positions. Since the ceasefire was established, both sides have accused each other of violating the agreement, and at least six people have been killed in attacks in southern Lebanon.
