Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan stated that the motion of no confidence submitted by the Opposition will test the solidity of the governing Coalition, highlighting the importance of political responsibility for the stability of Romania. He emphasized that the vote on this motion will be a crucial moment to assess the cohesion of the coalition. Bolojan mentioned that the elections for the Capital City Hall should not directly influence governance, as the coalition has already established the date of the elections and the manner of conducting the campaign.
The motion, initiated by Senator Ninel Peia, criticizes the Bolojan Government and is titled "Romania is not for sale - without progressives in government." It will be read on December 8 and voted on December 15, having minimal chances of success without support from coalition parliamentarians.
