Idris Elba has been knighted for his contributions to youth, alongside other personalities from various fields, on the honors list of Buckingham Palace.

British actor Idris Elba is among the personalities honored by Buckingham Palace for 2026, being awarded the title of knight for his services to young people, especially through the Elba Hope Foundation, an organization founded together with his wife, Sabrina. The list of honors also includes skaters Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean, who have been honored with the titles of Dame and knight, respectively, for their Olympic achievements.

Other notable names include Cynthia Erivo, appointed MBE for her contributions to music and drama, and John Hearn, who received the British Empire Medal for his work in judo. In total, 1,157 individuals have been honored, including the women's football and rugby teams of England. Among those honored are comedian Meera Syal, actor Warwick Davis, and author Richard Osman, each receiving titles for their contributions in various fields.
