Szijjarto emphasized that the situation should be treated as a bilateral issue between Denmark and the United States, not as a community problem. At a press conference, his Czech counterpart, Petr Macinka, added that resolving this situation requires negotiations between the USA, Denmark, and the Greenlanders. The Czech Prime Minister, Andrej Babis, refused to express solidarity with Denmark, emphasizing that the NATO leader is the USA and that disputes are counterproductive. In the context of Trump's intentions to buy or annex Greenland, several European states have expressed solidarity with Denmark and sent symbolic military contingents.
